HSKLink Policy

HSKLink Refund Policy

HSKLink Refund Policy

Announcement Date: August 16, 2026
Effective Date: August 16, 2026

XFC Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) operates the following Refund Policy in accordance with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Content Industry Promotion Act, and other applicable laws and regulations in order to protect the rights and interests of users of HSKLink Paid Services.

This Policy applies to HSKLink Plus, Pro, and other Paid Services that may be offered in the future through hsklink.xfc.icu.

Article 1. Scope of Application

This Refund Policy applies to the following Paid Services sold directly by the Company through HSKLink:

  • HSKLink Plus
  • HSKLink Pro
  • HSKLink Business
  • HSKLink Enterprise products purchased directly online
  • Other subscription-based or fixed-term services offered by the Company for a fee

Refunds do not apply to Free Services because no payment is charged.

If a separate agreement has been entered into for an Enterprise Service provided to a company or institution and such agreement contains separate refund or termination provisions, the terms of that agreement shall prevail.

Article 2. Withdrawal and Full Refund

1. Within 7 Days After Payment

A user may request withdrawal from purchase or a refund within seven (7) days from the date of payment for a Paid Service.

A full refund of the amount paid will be provided if all of the following conditions are satisfied:

  • The refund request is made within seven (7) days after payment
  • Substantive use of the Paid Service has not commenced
  • The user has not used paid-only transfer capacity, advanced features, or other paid benefits

2. Duplicate or Erroneous Payments

The Company will provide a full refund after verification regardless of whether the Service has been used in any of the following cases:

  • The same product was charged more than once
  • Payment was incorrectly processed due to a system error
  • A product not requested by the user was charged due to an error attributable to the Company
  • An amount higher than the displayed price was charged

Article 3. Refunds After Use of the Service

Even after a Paid Service has been used, a user may request cancellation during the subscription period.

For user convenience, HSKLink will, in principle, process refunds as follows.

Monthly Subscription Products

The Company may deduct the amount corresponding to the period already used up to the date of cancellation and calculate the refund for the remaining unused period on a pro rata basis.

Example:

If the monthly fee is KRW 7,900 and the user has used 10 days of a 30-day subscription period:

  • The amount corresponding to 10 days of use is deducted
  • The refund is calculated based on the remaining 20 days

The actual refund amount may vary depending on the payment date, cancellation date, discount amount, payment method, and other relevant factors.

Excessive Use of Transfer Capacity or Paid Benefits

If the user has already used a substantial portion of the benefits included in the Paid Service relative to the monthly subscription period, the Company may deduct a reasonable amount based on actual usage.

However, the Company will not unilaterally calculate refunds in a manner that is less favorable to the user than permitted under applicable laws or this Policy.

Article 4. Cancellation of Recurring Payments

Recurring subscription products such as HSKLink Plus and Pro may be canceled by the user at any time.

The following principles apply to cancellation of recurring payments:

1. If the user cancels recurring payment before the next billing date, no further payment will be charged.

2. If the user only cancels automatic renewal without separately requesting a refund, the user may continue using the Paid Service until the end of the current paid subscription period.

3. If the user requests immediate cancellation and a refund during the current subscription period, the user may request a refund for the remaining period in accordance with Article 3.

4. After the paid subscription period ends, the user may be converted to the Free plan.

If recurring payment services are offered, the Company will enable users to check the payment amount, billing cycle, and next scheduled payment date.

Article 5. Automatic Payments

Recurring subscription products may be automatically charged at regular intervals if the user has agreed to automatic billing.

Before the purchase of an automatically renewing product, the Company will provide the user with information regarding:

  • Service fee
  • Billing cycle
  • Next scheduled payment date
  • Whether automatic renewal applies
  • How to cancel automatic payments

If the user cancels automatic payment, no additional charge will be made from the next billing date.

Article 6. Free Trials and Promotions

If the Company provides a free trial period, no fee will be charged during that period.

If a product automatically converts to a Paid Service after the free trial ends, the Company will clearly disclose before payment:

  • That the Service will convert to a Paid Service
  • The amount to be charged
  • The timing of the charge

The Company will not automatically convert a Free Service into a Paid Service and charge the user without the user’s explicit consent.

Refunds for promotional products, coupons, or discounted products will be calculated based on the amount actually paid by the user.

Article 7. Refunds and Compensation Due to Service Interruptions

If a significant service disruption attributable to the Company prevents normal use of a Paid Service, the Company may provide one or more of the following remedies depending on the severity and duration of the disruption:

  • Extension of the subscription period
  • Refund of the fee corresponding to the affected period
  • Full or partial refund
  • Other reasonable compensation of an equivalent nature

If the Service becomes unavailable for an extended period due to reasons attributable to the Company and the user can no longer achieve the intended purpose of the Service, the user may terminate the agreement and request a refund for the remaining unused period.

The Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards of the Korea Consumer Agency provide compensation standards, including contract termination, refund of the remaining period, or extension of the subscription period, where Internet content services are suspended or disrupted for a certain period without prior notice.

Where applicable, the Company will follow relevant laws and Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards.

Article 8. Circumstances Where Refunds May Be Restricted

Refunds may be restricted to the extent permitted by applicable laws in any of the following circumstances:

1. The user’s account has been suspended or use of the Service has been restricted due to the user’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence

2. The user has materially violated the Terms of Use, including by transmitting illegal files, distributing malware, or infringing the rights of others

3. Payment or Service use issues have arisen due to incorrect information provided by the user

4. Objective evidence shows abusive use of the refund system, such as repeated registration, payment, transmission, and refund activity for the purpose of exploiting refunds

5. Withdrawal from purchase is restricted under applicable laws

However, even in these circumstances, applicable law shall prevail where the Company has engaged in willful misconduct or gross negligence or where a refund obligation is otherwise recognized under applicable law.

Article 9. Refunds Related to Network Conditions

The quality of HSKLink P2P connections may be affected by the user’s environment, including:

  • Internet connection
  • Router or NAT environment
  • Firewall
  • Mobile network
  • Browser
  • Operating system
  • Device performance
  • Telecommunications provider policies

The mere fact that a direct P2P connection is unavailable and an encrypted TURN relay connection is used instead will not, by itself, be considered a Service failure.

However, if a user is persistently unable to use the core functionality of the Service as described by the Company, the user may request technical support or a refund through customer support.

The Company will review the actual usage conditions and process the request accordingly.

Article 10. Plan Changes

Upgrade to a Higher-Tier Plan

If the user upgrades from Free to Plus, Plus to Pro, or otherwise changes to a higher-tier plan, the new plan may take effect immediately or from the next billing cycle in accordance with the rules displayed within the Service.

Downgrade to a Lower-Tier Plan

If the user changes from Pro to Plus, Plus to Free, or otherwise downgrades to a lower-tier plan, the new plan will, in principle, take effect after the current paid subscription period ends.

If the user requests an immediate downgrade and refund, the refund rules for the remaining period under Article 3 may apply.

Article 11. How to Request a Refund

Users who wish to request a refund may do so through the following methods:

Email: xfcinfo@gmail.com
Telephone: +82-2-322-8396
Service: HSKLink Customer Support Page

The Company may request the following information in order to process the refund:

  • HSKLink login email address
  • Payment date
  • Payment amount
  • Purchased product
  • Order number or payment transaction number
  • Reason for the refund request

The Company will request only the minimum amount of information necessary to process the refund.

Article 12. Refund Processing

After verifying the reason for the refund and the payment history, the Company will promptly process the refund in accordance with applicable laws.

Refunds will, in principle, be made to the same payment method used by the user.

Depending on the payment method, including credit cards or digital payment services, additional time may be required before the refunded amount appears in the user’s bank account or card statement.

After the Company approves a refund, the actual timing of the refund may vary depending on the processing schedule of the credit card issuer, payment service provider, or financial institution.

If applicable law provides a separate refund deadline, such legal deadline shall apply.

Article 13. Payments Through Third-Party Payment Service Providers

If payment is made through Nice Payments, Google Play, Apple App Store, Stripe, Toss Payments, or another external payment service provider, the refund procedures and policies of the relevant payment service provider may also apply.

If the refund policy of an external platform is less favorable to consumers than rights guaranteed under applicable law, the consumer rights provided under applicable law shall prevail.

Article 14. Business and Institutional Users

If a Business or Enterprise user has entered into a separate corporate agreement or license agreement, refunds, termination, and settlement of service fees will be governed by the terms of that agreement.

However, where mandatory provisions of applicable law apply, such mandatory provisions shall prevail.

Article 15. Changes to This Policy

The Company may amend this Refund Policy in response to changes in applicable laws, the Service, or the payment structure.

If a material change is disadvantageous to users, the Company will provide prior notice through the HSKLink website or another appropriate method before the effective date.

For agreements entered into before an amendment, the Company will process matters by taking into account applicable laws and the terms in effect at the time the agreement was entered into.
